We are pleased to announce a Call for Papers for the “I International Conference on Neoclassical and Behavioral Finance” held on June 26-27, 2014 in Łódź, Poland.
The conference is organized by the Department of Industrial Economics and Capital Market and the Institute of Finance at the University of Łódź. The venue of the conference is the Faculty of Economics and Sociology at the University of Łódź.
The topics include current trends in the development of finance as an academic discipline but the conference will be also focused on practical issues. In particular, the behavioral aspects of finance will be emphasized, however we encourage the discussion of research questions based on the neoclassical approach in finance as well.
We invite submissions on a wide variety of topics including but not limited to:
– capital market and its instruments
– corporate finance banking
– financial institutions
– international finance.
Selected papers presented at the conference will be published in the Emerging Markets Finance and Trade journal (included in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) list with current Impact Factor 1.19).
The guest editors of the Emerging Markets Finance and Trade journal are:

– Professor Jerzy Gajdka (e-mail: jgajdka@uni.lodz.pl).
Other papers, after going through a positive reviewing process, can be published in Acta Universitatis Lodziensis Folia Oeconomica or in the conference proceedings.
The keynote speakers of the conference are:
– Professor Lemma Senbet (University of Maryland and Executive Director of the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC))
– Professor Taufiq Choudhry (University of Southampton)
– Dr Andrzej Raczko (Member of Management Board of National Bank of Poland (NBP) and former Minister of Finance in Poland).
The submission deadline is March 31, 2014; however, submissions will be processed as they are received.
All submissions must be done electronically through the conference website in the Paper Upload section.
A single document including all tables, figures, appendix, etc. should be submitted.
Conference fee is 1,000 PLN (foreign conference participants can pay the equivalent in EURO: 250 EURO). Registration and fee payment deadline is April 30, 2014.
